For marine surveyors
The report is finished when you step off the boat.
Freeboard turns the walk-through into the document. You photograph what you find; it arrives in the right section, numbered, under your own letterhead. No signal needed — not in an engine room, not in a bilge, not offshore.

What it does
Everything a surveyor needs, on the boat
One job done properly, instead of a tool for everything. A fillable PDF looks like the answer until you try to put a photograph into one from a phone — the image fields only work in Acrobat, on a desktop, which is the one place you are not standing when you find the corrosion.
Photograph as you go
Every shot lands in the zone you are standing in — numbered, captioned, tied to the item it belongs to. Crop and straighten on the spot, while you can still see what you meant.
Works with the radio off
Add it to the Home screen once. After that it opens, records and produces the report with no network at all. Nothing to upload, nothing to lose when the signal goes.
Your name on the document
Your logo, company and credentials at the head of every page, in one of three report styles. A finished PDF, made on the device, in seconds.
Why Freeboard
Built for where the work happens
Engine rooms, docks and passages — not offices.
Your data never leaves the phone
Photographs and notes stay on the device that took them. They are not uploaded, not kept on a server, and not seen by us — there is nowhere for them to go.
Sign in once, then work offline
Signing in needs the network once. After that Freeboard opens and records for weeks with no signal, and on iPhone it unlocks with your face.
The whole vessel, not a checklist
Zones you walk and systems you report on, both at once: engine room, decks, hull, and a sea trial with its own performance log.
One code, one surveyor
A code carries your letterhead, so it belongs to you. It runs on two of your devices — and on a colleague's it would put your name on their report.
Getting started
Up and running in three steps
Nothing to install from a store, nothing to configure.
Request access
Tell us who you are and what you survey. A person reads it, usually the same day.
Receive your code
Your code arrives by email, tied to your name and company, with your letterhead ready to use.
Your logo, company and credentials arrive with the code and go straight to the head of every report.
Where it is today
New, and honest about it
Freeboard works end to end — checklist, photographs, sea trial, report — and has been through a complete survey offline, on an installed phone, with aircraft mode on.
What it has not had is a season in the hands of a working surveyor. That is exactly what these first codes are for: a small number of surveyors, a direct line to the person who built it, and changes that come from real jobs rather than guesses.
Ready
